Friday, December 05, 2008
When George W. Bush took charge of the White House, he chose as his National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, who spent 14 years on the board of directors of Chevron Corporation and even had an oil tanker named after her. When Barack Obama won election as President of the United States, he chose as his National Security Advisor another member of the Chevron board of directors, General James L. Jones. Jones is also a member of the board of directors of Boeing, and president and CEO of the Institute of 21st Century Energy, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s energy lobbying group.
